Thank you, they definitely will not be used as a staple feeder, he's got both crickets and locusts for that. I'm trying to get him to be a bit more comfortable with me, so wax worms would be his reward for coming out every day, but if that is too much, then that's fine.
Hi all,
I've managed to convince Zeus to eat wax worms, he has never eaten worms before so I'm surprised I've managed to. Anyway, he now loves them, and I was wondering how often I can feed them to him? Am I good to feed them to him as a treat once a day? Or should it be less frequent?
Thanks
I have one a similar age and I feed him 8-10 black or brown crickets, or locusts a day, he likes all 3, but he will not eat any type of worm, for some reason.
I wanted a veiled originally, but after visiting a breeder, I saw that his panthers were a lot more social than his veileds, so I went for a panther, and I don't regret it. As for colours, panthers do come in a wider range of colours, however, veileds are by no means boring in colour.
The cage temperatures haven't changed, I am supplementing as suggested, and yes, he went back to normal and is now doing it again, but for longer this time. I'm gut loading with kale mainly and also some cabbage. Here is a photo.
Your Chameleon - 4 month old male NosyBe Panther.
Handling - Whenever he wants, he quite often walks onto my hand while I try and feed him, sometimes this is every day, sometimes it is less.
Feeding - Mainly medium locusts (8-12mm), also medium black crickets (also 8-12mm), he does not seem to...
Hi all,
I purchased a used ReptiRain system from a friend earlier today, she says it has only been used a couple of times, and has been sat for a while. I set it up to test it, and sure enough, the pump sounds like it is working, however, there is no water coming out, which leads me to believe...
Hi all,
Just a quick update for those that read the thread the other day that I made, Zeus is doing fine and has eaten well since.
Anyway, today, we have added more plants and vines and removed a rubber tree from his Vivarium. It looks great, and he seems much happier with a plant nearer the...
Surprisingly, he is actually very happy to hand feed, although I don't hand feed all the time, I do maybe once a day hand feeding. I think that's a healthy amount, although I'm obviously open to try the run cup method.
Thanks for the help
I have some more plants coming for the top of the vivarium, to allow him to hide up there more comfortably, I am feeding him with locusts free in the tank, and I'm also hand feeding him.

◦ Feeding - 8-10 locusts a day, have tried meal worms, he doesn't seem to like them. Crickets will come...
Hi all,
I joined the forums this morning to ask a question about my new 3 month old Nosy Be panther chameleon. His name is Zeus I got him on Tuesday this week from a trusted local breeder (specifically Global Geckos in Windlesham), and he has seemed to settle in really well overall, he seems...
