Yes, it’s fine. Ours is about that age, maybe a tiny bit older. Just make sure you have plenty of places for him to climb down, if he so chooses. Babies tend to want to hang upside down. Not sure why but they do.

Personally, I prefer Panther chameleons. Though, as others have said, it’s your own preference that matters. So it’s up to you. But as for my preference, I feel Panthers display more beautiful colors than any other species of Chameleons. They supposedly are more docile than other species also...
