I'm getting my first chameleon tomorrow and I have to attach this feeder to the enclosure wall first. About how far from the nearest branch should it be? The bugs can only crawl up the inside back and the feeder is 4 inches deep. Not sure how far he can shoot his tongue. It's an 8 month old male...
I use that steamer to clean my shower, it's very powerful. I wouldn't use it for an enclosure because it'll make a big mess. I also don't think it's necessary (most people do just fine without any disinfecting at all)

You have a colony of FFF in a 10 gallon container in soil? I don't see how that would work. I kept FFF colonies for over 10 years and I know they need a fresh home every few weeks.
Dumb question: Why not just always leave insects with fresh food all the time? Do people usually starve the insects, then gut load them before feeding to your cham?
