im getting more concerned. she pretty much refuses to use her tongue. i got her saturday and she had eaten the night before so i waited till tonight and she will ONLY eat if i hold her still and she opens her mouth for me to put it in. other than that she will LITERALY walk over the foood...
not sure if this should be in the enclosure section since its just a stand, but, here we go.
I am fixing to start building a stand for my 18x18x36 metal screen cage. im thinking about a 36" tall stand with a 2" deep place for the cage to sit in and putting a drop in sink beneath it for...
i just emailed the guy that i got her from asking if he knows ABOUT when she mated. she already only eats if i give it to her by hand. i dont know if thats just because its how she was raised or if shes close.
dear god i wish i was talented like that... think i am going to get the Zoo Med Natural Cork Tile Backgroundor the Zoo Med Natural ForestTile Background. anyone have experience with these?
several people here said she looked gravid from pics. im VERY new to chameleons. im trying to figure out how long till shes ready to lay. ive already got a laying bin set up for her.
thanks! Lucy was really dark when i got home yesterday and i realized i had not turned her heat lamp high enough. i turned it up to high to heat uup her cage and pulled her out. she grabbed my finger and wraped her legs around it and seemed to go to sleep. her color went lighter almost as soon...
does anyone have a how-to or walkthrough of how to make a fake rock background for a terrarium? im really wanting to make one for my new cage. or a decently priced one to fit in a 18x36 inch terrarium?
i have not fed her yet. i just got her on saturday and the guy has been only feeding her mealworms. from reading on here they should be only used as treats so i went and got some small/med crickets and wanted to give them at least a day to gutload and will be trying to feed her tonight with a cup.
my new cham has apparently never used her tongue and has ALWAYS been hand fed by her prior owner. she is about 8 months old. i know that not eating with her tongue can cause it to atrophy. is there any way to check? or more importantly, get her to start using her tongue?
took me 2 freaking days to find this post after forgetting to bookmark it. my cage will be here by wed and i was wanting to something similar to this for my cham. i had a question for you though- was it necesary for that size of a pump or will a smaller one work ok?
