    Transvaalense Set-ups

I was trying to keep my temps low like originally advised but like other I have found that my babies were hanging out near the top of the cage and staying dark. Right now the highest basking point is 90〫F with the lowest point being 70〫F. They still head to the top areas of the cage to mid...

    B.thamnobates arrival(finally)

I was concerned about the drinking too. I seen them eating but hadn't seen any drinking until today. I'm used to my chams licking the leaves or opening their mouths when the mister is on. But today I saw my little girl shooting her tongue at water drops that were a good 2 inches away...

    New Chameleon = Need Help!

I second reading these articles- https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs...hameleons.html http://raisingkittytheveiledchameleon.blogspot.com/ The first thing I think anyone entering into chameleon keeping has to learn is to accept what you think is right is not. Especially if what you think is...

    My tranvaaslense have arrived

I'm using bean beetles and fruit flies right now. Waiting for the the pinheads to come in and thinking of using pill bugs (my pygmy used to love them). My girl is more moody and turned completely black when I tried to unpack her. I found my boy on the screen close to the top once but moved...

    My tranvaaslense have arrived

Your babies are beautiful too! I'm keeping mine in the same size. They do look so small, I can hardly find them. I wonder if I shouldn't get smaller cages for now. I love the way they wrap their tails around the branches multiple times! :D

    Bulk purchasing crickets?...

I live in the same area and have killed them in the house when it got too hot (before I set up cooler for the summer). Keep them in a closet if you don't want to seen them, not outside.

Look what Layla brough with her!

The first time my cham had babies I got so mad at the kids. I thought they had tossed in a brunch of crickets in her cage, they were all over the screen. When I looked closer I found 10 precious little ones :)
