I've heard some people use pliers to remove or crush the jaws before feeding. In the future, I will probably be doing the same thing just to stop the risk of bites.
Locales of panther chameleon can be seen through color, size of rostral protrusions (nose), and casque size. I believe the website madcham has a comprehensive list of all locales.

Will do! I have the thermometers on standby while I wait for the basking bulb to be delivered. I also have plenty of access to branches from the trees on my property. Just to make sure, you would bake them for about 20 minutes to get rid of anything, right?
