I have no real plants or anything growing in my cage but it seems like they hang around it and near my baby veiled's uv light. I've only got a few fake plants...vines and some of that moss carpet at the bottom...alos noticed some small black bugs but im not sure if they came from inside the cage?

My veiled chameleon goes dark under his basking spot but bright when eating...drinking...and sleeping or when ive got him out. Almost all other times hes pretty dark...is that normal?
i'd love to learn how to make a drain system. btw I actually saw him drink from the bowl the water was eventually dripping into. could that bowl be just as bad as a waterfall for bacteria? another question...what if I had it dripping into the live potted plant?

i'm also just not finding any luck with the dripper.. either mine is broken or it's just very finicky...either it's to fast or doesn't drip at all...and right now I can't get it to stop dripping

thanks for the info! I gave him baby mealworms :) I think im going to try and breed crickets too so I don't have to keep buying them ....that way he can eat as many as he wants ...right?
my chameleon seems pretty stressed because when he's under his basking light he puffs right up including his throat. I'm wondering if it's because of a piece of skin that wont come off on his forehead, it has been there for a week now and im wondering if there is a way of taking it off? hes just...
ya I noticed his eating habits aren't exactly back up to par yet. hes only a week older now than in my avatar. not sure exactly how old he is, I got him from a pet store.
