that adorable. mine stopped doing it almost the exact day he turned 8 months. one they get to a certain size its more like exercise to hang there with their body weight and they are too lazy for that lol
when i lived with my parents i used to find the babies in tall grass real close to the back of my parents house where the sun shown the brightest all day. they avoided the shaded ares.
this may sound mean. but i used to catch them for my common fence lizards, garter snakes, and my snapper...
i have come to find out that adult chams are generally in a constant state of shed. they are always loosing a piece somewhere. is it a piece of skin that needs to shed? or one that has shed and just wont come off?
if it just wont come off then try a wet q-tip and wiping it off. sometimes the...
do you know how a minnow trap works? its a funnel and the fish swin in the big end and once they reach the other side its too much of a challange for them to find and get through the tiny hole.
so i would take something and wake it into a funnel type shape and have a light and the small side...
Egg shells
Banana peel
Orange/Lemon/Lime peel (acidic plants)
Ash
Nut Shells
Tea leaves
Wood shavings
Hair and Fur
Dead leaves
thats some of what my parents use. coffee grounds too but coffee is toxic to chams so i wouldnt use those lol
i think homemade compost. i know banana skins are good for acid loving plants and egg shells are a big one with gardeners. i would chop it up and put it in the plants and put a layer of dirt over it. just to keep it from smelling and attracting flies.
perhaps look at pictures of different cham problems such as parasites and compare it to what he looks like. if hes not dehydrated, undernourished, and his temps are right and he eats and he is active, and doesnt look, act or seem sick in any way he might just be recovering like you suspect...
i was worried my little guy Inigo was going to have stunded growth bc when he was ity bity he had issues with shedding and his skin like stuck and started to rot and it was a big ole mess. we took care of it and it was taking long times in between his sheds and he never grew or ate or drank then...
what age are they and are they sick?
one day is fine. its not going to kill them to go without crickets for one day.
mine do it every once and a while. like if i stay long at work and dont get home before their lights turn off or once i texted my fiance and said to feed chams but my text...
see i was told that anywhere between the temp of 80 to 85 they will breed like crazy. its like that for over half the year here and all year if your me. i keep my place warm lol. i usually keep it at like 77 which is pretty close in the winter.
it freaks me out so much lol.
i live in a place where if a roach got away i would be f****D.. the would breed like wildfire and i would be out of a house. it just scares me because of that. but there so much cheaper and everyone on here seems to love them over crickets. urgh im just to afraid to get infested
do you realize how many babys could come out of that. and the money they could make. i would be asking for a small fee for the time they keep your cham away(typically you let them mate several times over a few days and for 2 free babies of your choosing (first pick)
but i guess its not all...
for those of you on reef tanks. i have a 20 gallon that used to be a 30 gallon and the only time i ever did a water change was when i moved in april. i have had the tank for 2 years. i test everything. all the time but between evaporation and filtration. i have not needed to change anything. i...
