Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? Top hight is 6 1/2 ft. off the floor. In my room. There are fans, but do not reach the cage. Not very high traffic.
Location - Where are you geographically located? Colorado, 7,000 ft. above sea level.

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.
Yoshi has had this shed on his casque that has probably been there for around a month. Everywhere else sheds fine, but his casque takes forever. There are also a few spots on his body. I don't think there's a humidity issue, unless my hygrometer is wrong.

i have come to find out that adult chams are generally in a constant state of shed. they are always loosing a piece somewhere. is it a piece of skin that needs to shed? or one that has shed and just wont come off?
if it just wont come off then try a wet q-tip and wiping it off. sometimes the scale kind of catches it and keeps it there. sounds like your doing everything right so i woudnt worry. he probably just cant get a good place to scratch it off. he most likely doesnt even notice it though

Yeah if you look at my avatar you can see it. I think it's in mid-shed, but it gets caught at the line down his casque (hard to explain it otherwise). Also this morning when the auto mister came on (usually he runs away), he stood in the mist and seemed to enjoy it!... Do you think this will help?

My veiled is taking along time to shed, too. Makes sense since they aren't growing as much so the skin isn't forced to pop off them. :p
