I agree with Chad ... in fact I was going to give a higher number ;) !
It's all about the planting (DENSE) and perches.
I kept 8 adult females in a 20 gallon long for several months with no issues or casualties.

Laurie,
The female Jackson's I sent you looks fantastic!
Hard to believe she is the same age as the special tiny female from xanthoman.
I will be interested to see if the latter has a growth spurt and takes off ... as you know from personal experience, that is not beyond the realm of...
Have the vet check the inside of her mouth for any abrasions/injuries as well.
It sounds like an RI but stomatitis has some of the same symptoms.
Good luck!

Kevin!
Beautiful ... just beautiful.
Is there anyone else who has achieved this in the states with this species? I don't think so.
Fantastic work!

You will see the occasional artificial vine in pictures of my enclosures.
I use them to fill spaces and add cover where real plants just won't go.
99% real plants here though for all the obvious reasons.

It doesn't sound like you have any prohibitive problems.
My experience with chameleons (I have a lot) and cats (I have 2) is that the chameleons don't really do enough to hold the cat's interest.
It has not been a problem here.
Your ambient temperature sounds fine.
Have you read the info...
The lights in the link you provided should work fine.
The coiled lights that have been dangerous for your animal are ones that emit UVB radiation and these do not.

Laurie that tree will be fine outside and may actually need the winter.
Sure is a cool chameleon tree though.
It will grow pretty quickly and if you want to keep it a certain size, it will need pruning.
The branches will come in handy!
