So recently I have noticed Pickle has been going all the way to the lowest branch in his cage to poop and the goes back up to the top when he's done.
Is this a common thing and does anyone know why if so?
I agree with all of above, he needs more branches/vines and a lot more foliage to make him feel safe and secure. The safer he feels=the less stressed he will be. Stick a ton more plants in there and make sure he's in a place where there isnt much human traffic. I would also keep the dog well...
I have just read that it can be normal for skin to wrinkle when they're about to shed.
Either that or he's severely dehydrated..but his urates are completely white and has shown no signs of dehydration (something I am always on the look out for) and he was mid shed and he bounced back to normal...
He was misted quite a bit that day (maybe about 5 times, normally is about 3 times) as I was advised this helps them along with the shed, could this have caused the wrinkling?
He's urates are fine, they've been completely white.
It was only like that for that one day he was shedding, is this something I should be worried about?
The picture below is of him after the shed.
My boy pickle shed for the first time last week!
So happy he's healthy and growing as he was soo tiny when I first got him at 4 or 5 weeks old.
As far as I believe he's now coming up to 2 months and 1or 2 weeks. Going strong!
I dont know too much about females but belly looks rather large to me, I'd say get a laybin in there asap.
There will be plenty of info on 'how to' online.
Beautiful cham btw!
I am in the UK and looking for the best brands of calcium with d3 + calcium without d3 + multivitamin, looking for the best quality possible.
I am also after some good dry gutload for my feeders to feed along with the veggies etc I am using. I have heard great things about cricket crack but I...
Pickle is about 8-9 weeks old now and he has recently had his first shed.
I have noticed the tops of his spikes look a bit golden brown and I am worried this could be a burn.
He originally had a 100w basking bulb and his highest basking branch is about 12" away from the light and was giving a...
It's whatever works for you. I personally also have 100w basking bulb as my apartment gets very chilly and my temps are perfect. I tried a 75w bulb and my Cham didn't like it one bit, switched back to 100w and he was happy again.
All depends on what temperatures your room is really, there is no...
I have had him for about 3 weeks now, I tried hand feeding coming up to the end of the second week but he wasn't interested, I then thought I'd give it a try the other day and he came speeding right up to my hand and whipped the small cricket up quickly, I was so suprised as I didn't think he...
