    Best 12 hour light cycle?

I do 6-6 but live in MA and it’s typically sun down by 6. Summer will likely do 7-7

Ceramic heat bulb- not for my cham😂

Thank you both!!! I have the heating pads on the outside of the tank on the bottom. So the regular light fixtures can accommodate che bulbs? Thank you for the link! Can you clarify what exactly a pulse thermostat is? Does it connect to the lighting fixture? I will look into it more after work...

Ceramic heat bulb- not for my cham😂

Yes. I have a temp gun and a govee combo in the tank. I should have clarified I am talking night time temps. Still learning about Beardies for sure right now 10 pm his tank is reading 73. From what I read night time for Beardies shouldn’t go below 65. I have been trying to find a really good...

Ceramic heat bulb- not for my cham😂

Oh okay! I unplugged it lol. I had a house fire 3 years agoWill stick with the heating pad under the tank for him lol. His overnight temp the last few nights was around 65-67. From what I read under 65 would be an issue... geez I have Chams down to a science but the Beardie is throwing me all off😂

Ceramic heat bulb- not for my cham😂

Thank you so much! It’s a CHE bulb in a normal fixture. I found the package to the fixture it said CHE are okay in it. It’s a 60watt and the fixture can accommodate 150watt.

Ceramic heat bulb- not for my cham😂

This is not for my cham! But I just got a bearded dragon for my daughter and I need to heat his cage (mainly since my house is in MA and better suited for a cham with the temp drops lol) . My question is can I use the bulb in a regular hood that I would a basking bulb? Or does it require a...

How often should a Jackson’s Cham shed?

I am wondering how often should a Jackson’s Cham shed? Cassidy has not shed once since I have had him (about 3 months). He seems fine, I feel like everything is where it should be but no shed? He is a little over a year old. Thanks!

Veilded chameleon looks malnourished but eats a ton.

The Odd Pet Vet is definitely the best! I am in MA too and have found Dr Mertz super knowledge. Definitely longer waits since Covid but I would see what they have open. I had my male veiled seen there in Nov and I definitely did not have to wait six weeks. Stay away from Kingston Animal...

    Cassidy!!

Definitely was not thrilled lol. Figured I should try to weigh at least a few times a year. Can’t help but think if I was doing that with my previous veiled that I would have caught the mass sooner...

Thinking about getting a Jackson's, tips/ warnings are welcome.

Same here! I have had my Jackson’s for a little over a month. I had a veiled for 5 years prior, I find that meeting the temps and humidity over night are much easier than a veiled. Keeping the humidity during the day under 50 % at times is challenging (Mass is pretty humid) but I have found a...

I won’t be buying them again anyhow. My Cham actually won’t eat them . Offered two days in a row. He eats everything but them.
