My Rainbow Jackson Chameleon setup, is it good?

Same brand I have for calcium, with and without D3. The T8 you are speaking of is again, a different bulb. It is less efficient than a T5, but could be ok, depending on how far the light is from the cham. You will need to replace the bulb every few months, say 6, to ensure the output of UVB...

My Rainbow Jackson Chameleon setup, is it good?

I just bought the Josh's Frogs branded one for $35.99 for another purpose, however; I literally just got it tonight so can't comment on it yet. The fixture I have for my cham cage is a quad-tube and you don't need that right now (and your dad would be angry).

My Rainbow Jackson Chameleon setup, is it good?

    Here's a link at Josh's Frogs - several models to choose from - just get a 24" FIXTURE (22" BULB): https://www.joshsfrogs.com/lighting-for-sale/light-fixtures/fixtures-for-t5ho-uvb-bulbs-for-sale.html

My Rainbow Jackson Chameleon setup, is it good?

In the name Reptisun 5.0, the 5.0 part has to do with the % of light in the UVB spectrum (5%) - it's not really the model number of the bulb, if that makes sense. There is a Reptisun 5.0 Compact Fluorescent (what you have) and also a Reptisun 5.0 T5 - which is what you need. The T5 bulbs are...

    Something Stuck in Vent

Not to my knowledge - will pay close attention to that today. He is OK again this morning - the lights/heat come on in ~30 minutes...

    Something Stuck in Vent

Another update - he appears to be doing OK again today. He moved around his enclosure a few times throughout the day, though slept a good bit. He has remained in his normal colors (i.e. not dark). I'm sure he's stressed from the ordeal, so hopefully a day or two of lethargy is not abnormal...

    Something Stuck in Vent

I'm near the NY/NJ border. I posted a link on the vet thread in the health section.

Area By Area (& country) Vet list

New York / Northern Jersey Pompton Lakes Animal Hospital Dr. Cattini fixed my cham's prolapse on short notice and was really great.

    Something Stuck in Vent

Update - prolapse is repaired and he's doing fine. Doctor said there should be no problem. Turns out he's done hundreds of repairs, including one last week. Took about a dozen calls until I found someone with availability but glad to have stumbled into a vet with a lot of experience.

    Something Stuck in Vent

Finally found a vet that can see us in about 90 minutes. Been keeping him soaked and lubed as much as possible. Wish us luck and thanks for the assistance.

    Something Stuck in Vent

Noticed that our cham has a substance protruding from his vent that is somewhat stuck. I do believe he is a little dehydrated and first hoped maybe it is just some orange urate. We are giving him a little soak to try and help. I am aware of prolapse, but the descriptions I saw look different...

    Set up Mistking v5?

It goes inside the bucket of water, on the backside of the bulkhead fitting.

    Humidifier Recommendations

I have to fill mine maybe every 3 days or so - obviously depends on a number of factors.

    Humidifier Recommendations

This one looks the same as the PetsPioneer and it shows in stock. I have two PetsPpioneer as well and have not had any issues so far.

    Set up Mistking v5?

One thing you could try is pulling the bulkhead out of the bucket and try inserting the tubing. Sometimes it is easier than having to push against the [somewhat] flexible bucket. I've not seen a fitting like this leak where the tubing is all the way in, usually find that I didn't quite get it.

    Set up Mistking v5?

In case it helps, here are some photos of my setup. I have the Ultimate version and so the ZipDrip solenoid valve is installed between the bucket and the pump. As far as installing the bulkhead - the O-ring goes on the outside. The previous post regarding the stepped bit is right on - I made...

    Mistaking started misting system

It would be difficult to have a completely different schedule, but you could likely set up a way to mist the gecko enclosure once a day so long as that time coincides with one event on the MistKing schedule. You'd need about $40 and little (low voltage) electrical work. I don't know that much...
