well, im fairly familiar with the area....I mean I have researched a lot, and a couple friends have them and passed on knowledge...I just get confused when I read one thing about one and a contradictory statement somewhere else....what made you start out with a panther and not a veiled?
Does anyone have any directions on their own homemade cages?? Lookin to make a 30" x 30" x 48" cage.....need to know what kind of supplies needed, and about how much im looking spending if I did it myself..
I am going to be buying a chameleon or 2 within the next 6 months or so, and I do not know what to get....I have heard mixed messages and I need others' input....I was told that panthers are more aggressive than veileds, and vice versa...is this true? Also what would you guys suggest in...
Does your RES try to eat any of the fish......LOL I put fish in with my turtles and it was a mad house in there to see who could get the most to eat....or is it still a little too young for the fishes....
Hey every1, came across a website might be worth checking out. www.gotpetsonline.com has a few chams for sale, and if anyone is into any other reptiles, a huge selection to choose from as well....
Yeah, i don't think I trust those heat packs too well. I think I might just hold off until spring, and go to a reptile show. That way I can hand pick them out, and not have to worry about the shipping or the weather being so bad.
I've asked around to a couple people and they said not to feed them carrots or not to let the crickets eats the carrots because it could possibly kill the cham. Is this true or does someone not know what they are talking about?
what do you guys think of buying now......its getting pretty cold here in ohio....or should i wait til the spring time? there is a reptile show here on the 19th i am going to......but unsure of buying...
i think i might go w/ the humidifier....i saw brads setup and looked pretty neat and creative. good job. I also found a nice ficus and umbrella tree to put in there. Did I read somewhere on here that pothos was toxic for the chams or will the be alright.....also maybe ivy to grrow up the sides?
I'm working on my setup before I buy my cham, and was wandering what people thought of foggers. Would you recamend one of those volcano foggers that I found on big apple? and how well would they work in a all mesh enclosure?
if veilds are the most aggressive, then why would they be best to buy if starting out. Wouldn't something a little more docile be better. I am still looking around for my first one too and all this info is helping me out as well.
When you say subadult, are you talking about 3 mo. old or so? Can anyone recamend a breeder to get ahold of that could give me a fair shake and not give me a lot of bull just to sell me something?
Hey everyone, I am new to the forum. I am interested in buying a chameleon. Will a veiled be a good one to start with? Also, should I start off with one and get used to it, or buy two right off the bat? Can they live with each other or should they be separated?
