Looking to buy my first cham

Yeah, i don't think I trust those heat packs too well. I think I might just hold off until spring, and go to a reptile show. That way I can hand pick them out, and not have to worry about the shipping or the weather being so bad.

    Fruits and veggies

That's what I thought too, but this guy seemed to know what he was talking about. So I wouldn't have to worry about over feeding them then?

    Fruits and veggies

I've asked around to a couple people and they said not to feed them carrots or not to let the crickets eats the carrots because it could possibly kill the cham. Is this true or does someone not know what they are talking about?

What do people think of foggers for the humidity?

i think i might go w/ the humidifier....i saw brads setup and looked pretty neat and creative. good job. I also found a nice ficus and umbrella tree to put in there. Did I read somewhere on here that pothos was toxic for the chams or will the be alright.....also maybe ivy to grrow up the sides?

What do people think of foggers for the humidity?

I'm working on my setup before I buy my cham, and was wandering what people thought of foggers. Would you recamend one of those volcano foggers that I found on big apple? and how well would they work in a all mesh enclosure?

    new cham owner

if veilds are the most aggressive, then why would they be best to buy if starting out. Wouldn't something a little more docile be better. I am still looking around for my first one too and all this info is helping me out as well.

Looking to buy my first cham

When you say subadult, are you talking about 3 mo. old or so? Can anyone recamend a breeder to get ahold of that could give me a fair shake and not give me a lot of bull just to sell me something?

Looking to buy my first cham

Hey everyone, I am new to the forum. I am interested in buying a chameleon. Will a veiled be a good one to start with? Also, should I start off with one and get used to it, or buy two right off the bat? Can they live with each other or should they be separated?
