My boy has been opening his mouth for a little while now. I notice that he is just starting his shed. He opens his mouth and flips his head back and forth. Is he just trying to wiggle out of his skin? Sometimes he doesnt whip his head back and forth when he opens his mouth..

From what I have heard mouth rot looks darker and more splotchy. Can i use a soft brush or something to lightly clean it and if it doesnt come off then go to the vet?

in my opinion, the largest u can feed the better. this is because of the "shell to meat" ratio. I figure the more meat inside the shell, the better. this is just my opinion though. take it or leave it

No swelling. and his mouth closes fine. It looks like tartar or plaque to me. thats what we thought.

This is my almost 2 year old veiled. Hes eating fine and drinking fine. Moves around alright but he has some brown stuff around his teeth. Is this some mouth rot? or does he just need to brush his teeth? :p I have been slacking on his supplements.. may this be a factor?

Most people use the tube style reptisun 5.o. id use that one if u can. If not then a compact, like you are talking about, would work. But there is no reson to put it in a thing like that.. just get an actual clamp lamp. I haven't bought one in a while but they can't be that much more than the...

UPDATE; her eyes are still infected and she still has a respitory infection... The vet has perscribed 5 different treatments, none of which worked. I have tryied reptaid on my own as well. (not durring vets meds of course) I am all out of ideas. I have just been hand feeding her for weeks on...
