Yup! My guy gets excited for it and loves to get all the water off the leaves, but oddly enough he runs from his mister too! I don't think he has figured out that shower time and misting time is practically the same thing ?
The enclosure looks great, the hibiscus is gorgeous! My only worry is if you are using Fluker's products to gutload. While they are good for cricket health, they do nothing for the health of chams. My personal favorites for gutload are collard greens, turnip greens, and carrots. @Gingero has a...
I have the exact same enclosure and misting system! I will attach pictures of how I set mine up, its probably not the best option so I would listen to the others but if you are super paranoid about bugs escaping your enclosure like me, I couldnt bring myself to cutting a whole in the enclosure...
I am definetly not educated enough to be rating setups and stuff but I thought I'd point out our chams have the same name! Best of luck with your Cosmo!
Thank you so much! I just put him on a plant and give him indirect spray from the shower so he has an opportunity to clean out his eyes and drink some water. It is also great for humidity, which is something I especially struggle with due to where I live. There is a more in depth post about this...
Who knew that the bathroom would have such great lighting? About to give Cosmo some shower time!
(P.S. I know Cosmo is showing some light signs of stress in these photos, he was a bit mad that I took him off of his favorite plant. Five seconds after this he was completely green and happy, I...
When I first got him thats what I thought too haha! Usually he is a lighter green but this photo was taken right after he fell asleep so I think he was still getting his pjs on. 5 minutes after this he was his normal color but I didn't want to risk waking him up again for another photo. ?
I just order my ReptiBreeze stand for my chameleon enclosure (finally) and I was wondering how to set up drainage? I know that I need to drill holes in the bottom of my enclosure and put a bucket underneath, is there anything else I need to know? How should I go about this? I am also about to...
Definetly going to have to work a little harder to take him out but well worth it! I am so happy to be able to give him the sense of security, but now I can also add live plants!! Big things to come ? Once again, thank you so much for the help!
I just ordered mine from the same place, I am so excited! Thank you so much for the help. I do have one more question though, how tall are the stands/how high will my enclosure be off the ground? I have a 4 foot tall enclosure and I am only 5'5" so I hope I can still reach Cosmo for free range...
I think I'm going to do the same and get the ReptiBreeze stand and then drill holes just like you. Can you order the ReptiBreeze stand online? How much did yours cost? Thank you so much for the help!
Thank you so much for the help! I just set my misting system to once every 4 hours for two minutes. I do struggle with keeping my humidity at a consistent 40-45 so I will definetly just have to monitor it. I am hoping to add live plants to my enclosure but that would require drainage right? I am...
Hey guys! I am super paranoid and I'm always open to learn more and improve on my chameleon care so if anyone has a couple extra minutes I would greatly appreciate a husbandry review. This totally isn't urgent, my cham is in great health but like I mentioned before I am always looking for ways...
Today as I was (tong) feeding my veiled chameleon Cosmo, I was able to hand feed him one of his favorite treats, a superworm. He happily took it and quickly gobbled it down but as a went to tong feed him more food, he coughed it right back up. It was dead but as soon as it happened he looked at...
