So, im going to start by saying that my little female veiled is NOT okey with handfeeding. I´ve tried soo many times I cant do it anymore. This whole thing is just in the purpose to build trust with her, she cups feed otherwise.
Sooo I got a new idea on how to sort of "handfeed" her. I will...
So I tried that fruit thing with my cham and with GREAT success! Cut 3 thin thin pieces of apple and put it on a stick and when I wook up whe was right there eating the whole thing! :D
(She dont have apple as a part of her diet, just an extra treat).
What else can I try?? :)
How old is he? If he is a little dude I wouldn´t bother keeping him on a freerange all day, maybe just a few hours or so. But if you really want him to freerange, then I would suggest providing him with uvb and heat outside the cage, it is essential for them to absorb uvb and heat to digest...
Oh sorry. Didn´t catch that correctly. I think im going to use egg flates and stack them among the ground instead of among the walls, they will then probably be able to snuggle alot  But still, how to do with the eggs´?
Another question about the eggs they lay. Im planning on take them out and put in a small container filled with a thin layer of dirt in the bottom for humidity and put the lid on and apply the eggs in there and put over som heat. Will this work?
:)
So Im aiming on not have any free space, but make sure that the whole floor is covered with paper towel rolls etc? I might go for not building on height and more on the width then?
Im getting 100 Blatta laterallis today and got a pretty big tub ready for them. But im consurned that i may be too big since they are so small? Can it be an advantage to have them in a smaller enclosure?
Im working to build trust with my incredible shy baby cham Stella. I try handfeed her as often as I can but she wont always approve with it.
So today I approached her slowly with my hand and she started headbang my finger as usually but I let it be until I stopped. Can this be good practice...
Im sorry for your cham :(
Okey, but I thought maybe she would get so streesed out by me touching her mouth that she would die even easier so I didn´t know what to do.
Thanks for the tip!
Okey, false alarm! She manage to swallow it... phuuu! I was scared as sh#t for a while.
(It was no bigger than the space between her eyes, but pretty damn close)
She aint getting any roaches for a while
But still, might be good to know if anyone has a method for helping a cham in...
