    Won’t eat anything but crickets

My Veiled chameleon went through a hunger strike. He completely lost interest in dubia roaches. I simply took it off the menu list for others. Crickets, Superworms, BSF, Locust. Until 3 months maybe, I took new interest in dubia roaches.

    Scared of Dubias?

Make sure the Dubias are small enough for her and mix one in with some other feeders that she enjoys. For some chameleons, roaches can be an acquired taste.

    Tongue issue and edema

...most likely air escaping through the larynx under the skin. Since it appeared around the same time as him hitting my finger in stead of the dubia roach, it is most likely injury related. He could press on the bulge and it goes up and feels like air. It has also been going away and coming...

    When to slow down feeding…

Hello! To preface, we have a 8 month old Ambilobe Panther Chameleon. In his early years, we had been feeding a mix of dubia roaches and crickets for his youth, and have usually fed around 15-20 a day. When he turned 6 months old to currently, we are feeding him about 8 medium sized crickets and...

Dubia roach substitutes? I live in Florida...

Hi Folks! Just seeing this thread... I too live in Florida and, as a previous northerner, am sad that I can't have Dubia Roaches in the sunshine state. Are Discoid Roaches the best alternative? Currently using crickets, but they smell and die quickly... If Discoid Roaches are the best, do you...

You can omit it out for some time. I did that with my chameleon with Dubia roaches.

Morpheus would say, “Neo is the one”

Thanks Jeremy. For me first time I’ve seen her eating after brumation. All winter she has locusts in her enclosure, which have fresh veggies constantly, however never seen her shoot or eat one. When I gave her Dubia’s, nothing, now outside within 30” she took a dubia

    Dubia Introduction

...They are more active and more likely to trigger a feeding response. If you have 20 lizards, you would be wise to get as many as possible on dubia because they are less space intensive to raise and there's less effort/thought required. The lizards, just like the dubia, should be gutloaded for...

Anyone else got a sadistic lil guy?

...everyday. Plus one or two black soldier flies. You guys said no to fruit flies but I still got them so I’m feeding them until they run out 😅 I’ll have to try rainbow mealworms, I’ve been doing Josh’s Frogs and local shop delivery which didn’t turn out well 🥲 In Florida so Dubia roaches are out.

    Jacksons tongue not working

...with real sunlight. Food: she only accepts flies which get some multivitamin and calcium, no D3. I am also offering her crickets, locusts, dubia and shelfordella. But she only has interest in flies. My plan is to forcefeed her when she hisses at me, with some mashed cricket. Additional info...

He ignored the dubias, a wax worm covered in Critical Care Carnivore and a silkworm, but it was after I handled him. I didn’t have the heart to try to force feed him...

I ran out of BSFL and he won't eat Dubia roaches so i have been feeding him super worms pretty consistently. I've read the warnings of other people and now i am experiencing it myself...

Fan Air Duct for Glass Enclosure

I gave some excess adult Dubias to a pet shop for store credit. It took a while for local area lizard keepers to get past the "But it's a ROACH!" cringe factor, but once they did, the store had no problem selling them. Most went to friends who kept backyard chickens or ducks. To help prevent...

...a new one.) It's the forbidden sausage I'm worried about. It's just....mushy looking. Usually it's darker and has more structure. We've not had hornworms lately. Crickets and dubias with occasional superworms. Misting 2x/day, fogging a few hours overnight, and sharing a dripper every other day.
