    Squirt's Labwork - Liver Infection

The first vet I took him to did not know what was really going on with him. They did bloodwork and it did not look good, so he prescribed injectable antibiotics. I wanted to get a 2nd opinion with new bloodwork and xrays. His diet hasn't changed at all...I just don't understand what happened...

How much of what do I dust my crickets with ?????

...what my chameleon specialist vet recommended. I had been using just the calcium with LoD at every feeding and I believe it caused eye and gular edema. He said the Repashy medD would be better for the D3 dosing days, but the LoD would be ok. I have wondered about it, but trust his expertise...

How much of what do I dust my crickets with ?????

I find this topic to be very interesting and one of the bigger question marks of the hobby. Everyone seems to do something a little different and results are inconsistent at best. You saw edema in your veiled from LoD while the Kammers use Calcium Plus with even more vitamin D every feeding on...

    The truth about UVI

The gular edema, on the neck. Which has been cropping up around here more and more frequently, from people using super strong UVB bulbs and still supplementing with D3.

    Gular Edema?

I have been noticing a little bit of extra chub at the bottom of my female veileds neck, and I am worried that it is gular edema. She has been getting calcium regularly with every feeding and calcium with d3 around twice a month. There should be a picture attached, I apologize for the cruddy...

    The truth about UVI

Hypervitaminosis is so often misdiagnosed as something else... it's scary. This is the danger of having such powerful UVB lights, particularly in combination with D3 supplementation.

    Question about buldge under neck...

Thank you! Could it be caused by the supplement and if so, about when should I see the swelling go down? Squirt's Labwork - Liver Infection

...to hear about this. While I do not have concrete info for you I have been doing a ton of reading of late. I know Squirt was showing gular edema... This would tie into what the vet has told you with a liver infection. Did he tell you anything about his kidney function? So basically from...

    Targeting issue...still

The edema in the leg and gular region have both subsided slightly—more so in the latter. I am no longer (as usual of 2 weeks) using any fat-solubles in their supplementation beyond the small amounts in the commercial gutload I sometimes use with their feeders.
