I wouldnt use anything colorful or flashy. That will catch his eye, and make him more curious.

All my guyz are different. Slinky (panther cham) always goes to the same spot at about 4:30ish, curles his tail up, and just chills there until lights go out. Others will stay in their basking spot until the lights dim, then will find the closest branch to curle up on, different spot each...

I know, found this out the hard way. I now only use certified organic produce. I'm pretty sure it's not the crick virus, these are the banded cricks from Ghann's. This is the best crick species out there, and they are supposed to be immune to the virus. Ghann's is the only supplier I know...

I am always finding dead crickets around and under the food I put in their bin. Is it possible that cricks are so stupid, they can actually eat themselves to death? I cant think of any other logical explaination for why they died!! :confused:

This is also what I do. Just get those big 3'' paper clamps, maybe 4 for a 6'' dome. Works really well :)

Anything electrical, I have had bad experience. Non electrical, no problems.

Can you post some pics of your cage set up? You said you are using a terrarium? If we could see pics of his encloser, it may help explain a few things.

Jacksons are very timid and docile, but you should not handle them very much, esp babies. They stress very easy.
