how to get/make Large Glass enclosure for panther

Why does wood mean you need to go bioactive? Whatever you want to use just seal the wood with something waterproof.

Large isopods for bioactive Cham enclosure

Hey everyone so I was wondering if there’s any species of isopods I can add in my bioactive enclosure that will coexist with the dwarf whites that I already have in there. I’d like a larger species that I can see doing there thing on top of the substrate and can live in that moist climate and...

Spending a fun day baking potting soil. Finally redoing Stella’s bioactive set up, but my giant bag of soil had roaches all in it. 😱 Now I trust none of them and have to bake them all. Criminy!

...I also forgot! I also have 7 different varieties of isopods (Some duplicate/different variety tubs) that the students built their now bioactive tubs for a project earlier in the year. Also, don't mind the chameleon cage, it is in maintenance status to clean-up and prepare of the new chameleon.

All of my set-ups are bioactive and include: 6- adult crested geckos (In their own enclosures) 2-baby crested geckos (left over from last breeding season and soon to be up to...

    Maybe sick or I’m exaggerating?

@MissSkittles I believe uses two of these screen enclosures and fashioned them into bioactive. You can see a pic of one of her builds here I know somewhere she did mention the way her substrate tray is set up so digging around in her activity might be some help :)

RIP Boogie... Advice on a necropsy for sudden death?

That's an interesting idea. I've never tried bioactive before. I think I'd hold off on that until I move into my forever home. I'll probably be moving in about a year, and hauling that big 'ol cage 2000 miles while being bioactive is... not ideal lol.

The advantage of planting pothos at the bottom

@Sonny13 I've been prepping to go bioactive with some of my chameleons and I'd really love to do a bioactive for my parsons as well. Do you find that you use a ton of water with her being in a bioactive enclosure?

I was planning on putting down shop towels over whatever I have to catch her since I can change those out fairly often

Male Veiled Chameleon info - what I’ve learned

Good thing the bioactive part was only a sentence out of 5 paragraphs. And the basking isn’t high if your house stays cold.

trying to find a 4x2x4 screen enclosure

...leaking where they join. I use the ReptiBreeze substrate trays with plastic tarp below and above to prevent leakage. My set ups are all bioactive though. I suppose silicone or Great Stuff foam could be used for that spot. If I had planned things better and/or had more experience with...

...wide and about 6-7ft tall. The hot spot in the cage is upwards of high to mid 80’s, and the cold spot is the low 70’s. This tank is also bioactive with springtails tails amd isopods. He had a mister at night but does not sube one currently due to some issues with finances. He will be getting...

Male Veiled Chameleon info - what I’ve learned

Oh no…I was going to say similar to @jamest0o0 as I’ve had no issues with putting my chams in a newly set up bioactive enclosure. I’m very sorry that you and your chameleon had an issue, but I really don’t think it was the bioactive. There’s lots of factors that could have contributed to your...

The advantage of planting pothos at the bottom

Well I'm using 2.5 gallon per week for misting and 1.5 gallon for fogging, but wil only drain 1 gallon. The will be absorbed by the plants and the soil. I love bioactive!!

    is my chameleon adapting okay?

...can be at the high end. There are some ways to cut costs, but for many things there are no ways to compromise. All of my enclosures are bioactive, but I’ve always used the ReptiBreeze substrate trays to help contain excess water. They are all in one piece, so do a great job. This is a pretty...

New enclosure layout/Deep Clean? Best way to do so?

I would recommend sanitizing a poop free branch if you suspect bacteria of something else nasty on a branch that you do not want with your chameleons. Best Regards Jeremy A. Rich

New enclosure layout/Deep Clean? Best way to do so?

...a while of having him in his new enclosure, I see some areas for improvement in my setup and know it would be even better the next time I did it! One day I'd like to go bioactive but i think i should perfect the husbandry before i get that far. Hope everyone and their chams are having a good day!
