Best online store to buy isopods for shipping to California?

Thanks so much! Which isopods do you recommend? There are a lot of options... I've got a bioactive terrarium with soil and a bunch of cham-safe plants. I put earthworms in there, and springtails, and one round of isopods but I'm not sure how they faired.

    Brainstorming for enclosure stand.

Hi. Sorry that you lost your Red. He was stunning! May he be enjoying the bounty of the hereafter. 💗 I have fully bioactive enclosures, but use root pouches to contain everything on drainage trays (ReptiBreeze), so can’t be of too much help there. However, I can link you to some products that...

    Completed first chameleon enclosure!!!!!!

I don't want to do bioactive just because of the way I have the bottom built

    Where do I even start?!

...of tank used? I don’t think my house gets too humid thankfully so I think would be ok controlling it in a pvc or glass enclosure? With bioactive is they safe for chameleons I’ve seen lots advice against it due to ingestion.. but wouldn’t have thought a chameleon would be on the ground? And...

    Is this gravid coloring?

...gravid to warn off males, but honestly, my girl is over four years old and has never laid eggs before so I'm a little surprised. She has a bioactive tank so there's plenty of moist dirt for her to dig in in the bottom if she needs it. Was just wondering everyone's opinions on the coloring...

    Husbandry review

...blog on egg laying; but I'm going to tag @MissSkittles because she's super knowledgeable of keeping multiple chameleons, female needs, and bioactive set ups. There is a way to make your reptibreeze bioactive, but I've never tried it. To help keep the humidity there are also cheap tricks to...

New Owner - Stressed - Husbandry Check?

Thank you for the replies! The bottom is bioactive (I come from reef hobby so really enjoy ecosystem based care). I swapped out the basking bulb for a lower wattage. Will have the feeder done later today. He did end up hunting yesterday evening and I saw him eat 5 crickets. Thank you for...

    6ft Chameleon Bioactive Vivarium

https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/intro-to-bio-activity.2429/ This is what I used as my guide when I got started with bioactive and I did get a big bag of Fox Farms Ocean Forest. It was a bit too expensive to use for all of my set ups, so I just use whatever organic garden soil Lowe’s has.

    Forum communities lately…

...the spice of life" applies here with a large group of chameleons available for posting here on the Chameleon Forums. I agree about being bioactive with enclosures. My greenhouse the way I have got the settings set to go "Poop" is gone in about a half a day. There is nothing residual after...

    Moss in bioactive

Trying to think of ways to optimize the space in a bioactive enclosure. In trying to maximize the amount of green it occurred to me to add moss to the substrate. Is this a viable option?

    Electra’s egg saga.

...🥳 Of course, I’ll have to make sure she never sees a boy again, but I’ll be keeping her lay bin in her tank anyhow…or maybe just make hers bioactive. She was such a good sweetheart and sat on my shoulder for the entire drive there and back (total of almost 4 hours!). I didn’t think to get any...

    Getting New Plants, advice preferred!

...several plants lined up and once all have been cleaned, they all get one more good rinse before quickly being brought in and put in my (bioactive) enclosures. No matter how thorough you clean or the size or type of plant, it is inevitable that some little buggies will be living in your plant...

    Maybe sick or I’m exaggerating?

That enclosure that you have, can you make it bioactive? Or not because Of the screen?

Spruced up the outdoor enclosures for summer!

Oh cool, I really like the idea of having a summer outdoor house for a chameleon. My only concern would be the bioactive set up.

    I took the plunge-Meet Eja

...is actually a isopod. I grab some from my yard. I guess I grab some pregnant isopods. :) I haven’t put springtails in Eja or Wiseman like I wanted to. But I actually found some type of springtails in Wiseman enclosure. Not sure where they come from. Not sure if the Repti soil is bioactive...

    Setting up Enclosure

Since I have double wide bioactive enclosures, I use heavy duty garage style shelving units (Edsel muscle racks). Before doing all of that, I had gotten the ReptiBreeze stands, which worked very well with the ReptiBreezes. For a short time, I had an enclosure sitting on a card table.

Anyone Have a Picture of a Relaxed Non-Gravid Female Carpet Chameleon?

I have her in a 24x24x24 glass with bioactive bottom to maintain humidity. Our winters are dry here. She does well. Yes bigger is better though. 😄

Also here is a great recommendation for a bioactive/drain table and stand. https://dragonstrand.com/product/2x2-bio-active-stand/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR7ehmyJQAPlmEmZ2MJfu7Wp9f-KIJvhfetYn3c8vTg6fqnyz75mWf8czcEE4g_aem_HquZJjP4qUwu5kXs2JVKLA

    Urine smell

Is it normal for my Veiled habitat to always smell of urine? I did go bioactive with soil, drain rock, magnolia leaves isopods, springtails ect it seems most of the urine and or poop never makes it to the floor. Habitat is dense and thick with plants so usually just falls on the leaves it seems.
