    is my chameleon adapting okay?

...out of a plastic container companies sell them magnetic like frams chams . I would also remove the bark from the bottom, without a fully bioactive bottom you risk moisture retention and bacteria growth. Bare bottom is best with your set up. 😊 Good luck with your Cham. If you can get a closer...

...ago and they had him for about 8 months. He is in a 48"x24"x36" with arcadia jungle dawn leds and arcadia d3 t5 lights. The enclosure is bioactive with all live plants and an auto mister and fogger that are on timers. He just looks way thinner than my Panthers that are around the same age.

    Setting up Enclosure

The whole floating garden setup is really ideal if you’re not doing a bioactive floor I have a mesh floor too so water fully exits the cage as there’s no barrier for drainage

...able to have each of mine in double wides and love seeing them have and use more space. I wish I could give even more. All of my chams have bioactive set ups in full screened enclosures. I use layers of plastic tarp beneath as extra insurance against excess water escaping. Then inside I have...

    Flies in crickets??

...they aren’t the phorid flies…just soil gnats or fruit flies. To make life easier for my pet sitter when I went away, I set up my crickets bioactively (the roaches were already bioactive). Well, I guess the sitter put out too much food for them and the gnats/flies came. It’s mainly the cricket...

    Husbandry review

I enjoy the all the live plants in your enclosure. Yeah I had a few pretty plants that also died and was sad. I also have just left her bin in the enclosure and am patiently waiting. She does seem skinnier at times but also still looks chunky. I’ll post a pic of her tomorrow to show what I mean...

    Deadly Chameleon Myth series

Regarding BSFL, I had them reproducing in small rates in my 4ft deep substrate bioactive. Just enough that there was always a few flying around, but not so many that they were out of control. Downside is I felt my chams got sick of eating them after a while.

    Husbandry review

Sorry for the late response, been busy. I actually covered her with a sheet to give her that privacy. I will try that trash bag method since it will also keep the humidity better… I did do Saran Wrap on Ollie’s cage and it worked like a charm for humidity control. Been thinking about doing that...

Best online store to buy isopods for shipping to California?

Thanks so much! Which isopods do you recommend? There are a lot of options... I've got a bioactive terrarium with soil and a bunch of cham-safe plants. I put earthworms in there, and springtails, and one round of isopods but I'm not sure how they faired.

    Brainstorming for enclosure stand.

Hi. Sorry that you lost your Red. He was stunning! May he be enjoying the bounty of the hereafter. 💗 I have fully bioactive enclosures, but use root pouches to contain everything on drainage trays (ReptiBreeze), so can’t be of too much help there. However, I can link you to some products that...
