    praying mantis?

...question though. I hatched out several ootheca in the past without any issues and since I’m currently battling soil gnats again, think I’ll be getting some more ooths to hatch out. I was going to try mosquito bits, but mantids not only helps the gnat problem but gives some chameleon enrichment.

    Veiled Only Wants "Junk Food"

...you tried? Black soldier fly larvae (bsfl) is a great feeder and I like to let them pupate into flies to give my chameleons some hunting enrichment. Even my older girl who no longer shoots her tongue more than an inch or so enjoys hunting the flies and she does catch them. You’ve had your...

Finally had some pupate into flies, which is what I wanted (flying treats to provide enrichment and stimulation) and still have plenty squirming around currently. It’s like the never ending container of bsfl.

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anybody had any out of the box enrichment ideas. I have a close to a year-old female veiled chameleon who loves to explore and roam around. Where do I even start?!

...I have all of mine bioactive and they have been doing very well. They all enjoy hunting their isopods at times, which I see as natural enrichment for them. I make sure to have a thick layer of leaf litter and some good sized cork pieces for the isopods to hide under and eat. Just make sure to...

Larvae are super healthy. They are high in calcium and protein. I would assume the fly’s are equally healthy however I happen to just use my flies as an enriching hunting treat. I know there is a list floating around here somewhere with a list of what is in what bug….
