The Motherload of Chameleon Branches!!!

Well, yesterday we trimmed or should I say had someone trimmed our massive Rosewood tree in the front yard! It took the man 4 hours up in the tree and us 7hours on the ground to clean and haul the stuff away (6 trailer loads) anyway, I painstakinly picked out selective branches for my chameleon cage and then cut them to a manageable size. Next I have to run all the nubs on our grinider so they are smooth, then I will scrub them and let them dry in the sun! Some of them are going to be used in the Outdoor Enclosure(I keep talking about but has not got started yet). The others i am going to use for spares in his regular cage. My question to all of you is, do you change out your branches periodically?. I noticed mine have gotten moldy from getting wet all the time. Not mold growing on them but just black in spots. Just wondering what everyone else does or doesn't do.

I change mine out as soon as they start to mold over. What kind of chameleon are the branches going to be used for?

I have seen it spelled many ways. The most accepted is Mother Lode or Motherlode except they only allow for 20 characters for a Username and I had to go with Motherlode Chameleon.

Nice!!! Nothing wrong with free "furniture"!! Well, I guess it wasnt exactly free but. I just toss my sticks out every time I do a deep cage cleaning. When they are free you dont feel bad about tossing them at any point;) I just started using dried hops vines. They do really well in my enclosures but I also keep small species of chams. I doubt they would be sturdy enough for larger adult species.
