The tank is a komodo 45*45*60. Just googled those nymph things and some look like they get waaay to big ! About 5mm is a max size for a pygmy chameleon

Yes the crickets did my head in ! Most would hide and grow so big the chams couldn't even be able to eat them!!! And no matter how well I sealed up the tank I would still find them all round the house !! I have a small kit to "grow" some tropical woodlice, they only get to 5mm max so are...

No there is actually a lot of open ground under the plants and I have a small clearing with a petri dish, that I put the food in. I have a few sticks going down to the area so they can come to feed, seems to work quite well !

Right so my first viv attempt died off a bit, I found out this was due to incorrect lighting so i replaced the bulbs with daylight bulbs and it seems to be growing well now! tried to plant it up a bit more so the chams had more places to hide out of the light. My arduino project works...

Hi has anyone managed to find a worm based food that pygamys like !? I've been feeding them baby brown crickets which they seem to like but they keep escaping from the cage and going all round the house no matter how well I seal up the tank!!! :confused:

Yes that's what I'm after my tank being a bit of a dense Forrest for them to hide in, the few plants I currently have they love hiding in ! Need to get some more plants then !!!:

I planted up my first live viv a few months ago and now most of the moss has died off and the plants don't look super healthy. Doing some research it was possibly my choice of lighting. I only had 2X 2.0 uva bulbs and not the correct colour temp to grow plants! So I have swapped out for 2X...

yeah, 2 inches of hydro balls and 1 inch (ish) of charcoal. i can see into the bottom of the tank it doesn't look that wet and definitely not mouldy !

hi! ive had my viv set up for about a month and at first it had a lovely fresh "forest" smell to it, a handful of the earth still smells nice and earthy but there is this acrid sharp smell in the air of the tank.... ive got two pygmy's and ive been feeding them micro cricks. I just open the box...
