That's what I figured. I just got them recently too so I don't want to stress them out too much. I have a back up plan that should work. Honestly I'm not sure why they want me to bring the chams anyway
Alright so my family is driving to Missouri to see some friends over the summer and they want me to bring my chameleons with me but I'm a little worried because I'll have to set them up in a new enclosure that they're not familiar with (I can't take theyre current enclosure cause they each have...
That actually sounds like a pretty awesome idea for an enclosure. Just make sure that nothing can dig in to the enclosure (i.e. rats, opossums). I've heard have people who have their chameleons killed by opossums. Just screen in the bottom with 1/2" hardware cloth
absolutely I know that. I've been breeding other lizards (bearded dragons/crested geckos) for a couple of years and I know how territorial some chameleons can be. Of course I will quarantine as well.
ok, thanks so much I'll probably just get a female and put her in another enclosure because I do eventually want to breed them. Maybe I'll try introducing them to one another and just seeing how it goes for a couple of days to see if maybe it will be alright but I will definitely be super...
are you sure it's not too hot gaping can be a sign of heat exhaustion. even if your temps are perfect try just lowering them a bit to see if that helps.
ok so I know that this isn't really the right platform to discuss this but does anybody notice howfew dislike and how many positive comments paul cuffaro gets even though he literally tortures some of his fish and doesn't do proper research on some of his animals (i.e. betta sorority in a 5...
I recently got a male trioceros jacksonii xantholophus and I am wondering if anyone has any opinion on whether I can get a female to live with him. He's in a 24x36x60" custom cage so space isn't a problem but I've seen some people say that it is impossible to cohab chameleons but then people...
I am aware of the health risks of wild-caught chameleons. I am prepared to take it to a vet as soon as I get it and I am going to do my best to at least try to find a long term captive. I would eventually like to breed them to help promote more captive breeding of these guys cause I think the...
That would be awesome. I have been keeping all different kinds of reptiles for a couple years now so I would say I'm seasoned but I know my stuff. I am however just getting in to chameleons and this only my second (I have a jacksons). I would love to see your quarantine as I haven't really...
Hey just wondering if anyone knows where to get an outlets chameleon so far I've only found wild-caught ones and I'm leaning toward an adult male from reptile city but I'm not sure
