How long is a long time?

A vet is your best bet. A plastic container isn't a great idea for housing any chameleon. A cage by a window does him no good. He needs uv light which he isn't getting by sitting by the window. Uv doesn't penetrate thru glass and screen. The cage by window if in the sun will heat up alot...

Will minwax polyshades work as a waterproofer on a cage. I'm building a wood frame with screen inserts. I know the misting and humidity will affect untreated wood. Can I use this to coat the entire wood section of cage?

I'd agree about 3months old. Hard to tell in the last pic if there is a bulge but doesnt look like it.

Yes it also helps with keeping the spray in the cage. It will get water spots over time but easily torn off and redone.

I use window film from home depot. The type with dbl sided tape and clear shrink film. Use on both side and the back.
