Our cham has member done this before. I came home from work, went to feed him and he was laying on the bottom of his cage. Which scared me because I thought he was dead. When I reached in the cage he moved, got mad and hissed. Then ran to the top of his cage. Today I get home and he's at the top...
I'm thinking of upgrading our generic cage from petsmart to one of the Dragon Strand Large enclosures. Does anyone have any experience with them? I'm curious about how much lighting and stuff I'll need to get after the new cage. Right now I have one of the light my reptiles lights. I'm also...
What wattage do you recommend on a halogen or are they the same. I'm having to use a 100w bulb now to keep the temperature up. It's going into winter so something a little warm would be better.
Nobody on here has ever said they are bad for chameleons other than using them at night. Please educate me on this. If it's true, I'll swap out the bulb right away.
p.s. My comment sounds sarcastic but I'm not trying to be. I just can't think of a way to phrase it any other way.
Nah, all of the lights are on a timer. They go off at night.
As for why, we already had it so until it burns out that's what we're going to use. Not to mention I'm my town it's hard to find incandescent bulbs now. Everyone has switched to Led for the environment.
My son gets scared. Gilbert the chameleon knows how to hide. Since the first cham died after a few days he gets scared
At what point do you think it's safe to get him or if the cage to roam? My son wants to hold him but I won't let him yet.
