The black thing at the front is the power supply for the strip bulb (if thats what you were looking at), it does look a little like a coild from the picutre angle though

When you say poor qaulity light / lack of light, do you mean for the plants only? I was hoping the light setup was OK for our Cham? Plants can be replaced, the Cham cant...
