Veiled chameleon, his basking temp is about 26 degrees Celsius, and I have Read it needs to be at least 29, but I’m using a 100w bulb and the closest branch is very close to it (no close enough to burn himself) and obviously there’s no higher watt. Ambient temps are around 22 degrees Celsius.

My nighttime temps are always fine they never go below 20 Celsius. But it’s the daytime temp I’m worried about, he just seems to sit under the basking spot alllllllll day, and with me living in the UK and having a screen cage it’s probably because my room temp is cold?

Yeah I measured and the branch is 9 inches away, I’ve set the thermometer up and currently I’m at exactly 80f and humidity of 49%, so I might just adjust that to make it a little higher, just to make sure I’m within range and it doesn’t drop below.
