I've increased their wattages a couple of times but it's Michigan weather. Sometimes it's very warm outside and others it's below zero. I will increase them again though until it warms up. I think I'm using 100 W now.
Just as an update, I took him to the vets yesterday morning and when I opened the cardboard box to get him out to be weighed we found he had defecated all over the box. The Dr. still used a very small cotton tip to check for any blockages and I had his stool run (since it was there anyway) and...
I set up an appointment for tomorrow morning before I posted this but if he finally defecates I'm was planning on canceling. I posted this in hopes of finding a way to not take him since its so damn cold outside. I've been spraying him like this for about a week now. Some days not as much as I...
Actually, I don't think it has D3 in it. It only says calcium supplement in the ingredients and there is nothing that says cholecalciferol either. The only thing that he could have eaten would have been a leaf from the plant. They die and fall sometimes. The rocks I have over the plant are much...
I've been misting him directly with warm water 4-5 times a day on top of his normal 5 mistings with the automatic mister. I haven't tried the shower because my cham seems to HATE being sprayed. Even by warm water. He runs away as fast as he can. I still mist him by cornering him but he flails...

I'm running low on my gutload and I was wondering if anyone on here still makes their own and sells it. I tried making my own but the bugs won't touch it :-/ Also, if anyone has experience with one I can order online or buy at a store I'd be interested in that as well. Thanks
Hahaha "allowed to say". I'd always recommend not getting from chain pet stores but that's a different topic and not my place. Maybe she was recently imported. I guess IMO, the best thing to do is see if she adjusts after a week or so.
painting the wood shouldn't be a problem as long as its dry before he's in there. I actually went to home depot and bought sheets of flexible plexiglass (looks like white cardboard) and used that with some water proof silicone to seal the bottom and protect the wood. The rest never has that much...
I've been feeding him by hand several times a week since I got him. He seemed to be fine with that right away. I've tried to lure him onto my hand with a worm but he just kind of looks at me distrusting. I'll keep working on it though
Hi guys,
I know that chameleons should not be handled as it causes a lot of stress but I was wondering if there was a certain way to get them to walk on your hand when needed. (going to the veterinarian or a thorough cage cleaning) I want to be prepared so if I do need to move him it will be...
