Make sure you use plastic and not glass for the pipette. I saw a post elsewhere where a cham bit and broke a glass one! Not a bad idea at all to get them used to it just in case they need meds

Actually, the dam’s sire is the father of that female. Think of dam as mom and sire as dad. So if you are seeing pics of a chameleon’s lineage the sire would be the father and the dam’s sire would be the maternal grandfather.

You’re going to want a 24” fixture for your cage, 12” fixtures honestly aren’t even recommended for the smaller cages because they don’t penetrate as deeply. Get a 10% or 12% bulb for it. You’re cham will be much better off :)

Welcome! I’d stay clear of any breeder who tells you that....either they’re straight up lying or their husbandry is bad so their females aren’t surviving the laying process. I keep veileds, but @Matt Vanilla Gorilla always has lovely babies and I’ve seen nothing but glowing reviews from those...
