The aluminum is what is used for almost every screen reptile cage that is sold online that I’ve seen. The 1/4 coated screen is all galvanized steel which does leach toxins into water, plus there’s no black coated, only green coated, and only in 1/2 that I can find in less that a huge industrial...
I looked into that, I don't want to use door screen because my cam really enjoys climbing on the sides of her habitat. Plus I need something strong enough to zip tie vines to. But I appreciate the suggestion.

Would this be a good choice?
Thank you @nightanole
I might go with the single 12" then, does anyone know if they make a 12" bulb that is good for UVA/Basking? Or should I do dome for a basking spot and the bar for UVB?
Also why the 10.0? I've read many time the 5.0 is best? Or in the bar with a single and 12" would the...
Thank you @nick barta I won't be getting another cham in the foreseeable future and money isn't a concern for us as much as looks. I am converting a tall Ikea display cabinet into a new home for Calypso. So I need it to be short enough to fit into the cabinet. So 18" is the only option.
What is the best brand of linear hood that is compatible with 18" bulbs? I would prefer a dual.
Do they make good 18" basking bulbs? I found lots of good UVBs but not warm UVAs.
Or are the linear UVBs warm enough that having both would be enough for my veiled?
Or should I get a single linear...
Does anyone know any specific manufacturer who makes 1/4 inch PVC coated black hardware cloth? I could only find galvanized steel in that size and I've read it is bad for Calypso. Can someone please link me a specific place to find it? Or does it not exist? I'm wanting to remake a display...
I'm really new at this, but my cham bites at everything.
Like, she tried to nibble on my wallet, my sleeve, the leaves and rock structures in her habitat, the biobubble fountain drinker.
I'm just guessing but it seems like she's curious about what these things are that she's not interacted...
@kinyonga Thank you for the tips!
That's a deeper nesting bin than I expected. I will start looking around and see what I can do.
Two hours should be totally doable.
@hopps31 Thank you!
I think I could make that work, I'll definitely look for an outlet timer somewhere other than the pet...
