    CFL Lighting

What brand do you use? I have been an active member in my herp society and have worked as a keeper, I would say most health issues I have seen have been keeper errors. That is why I am asking for brands people have used without issue. I love how people just place lights on top of screen cages...

    CFL Lighting

I have not read or heard of any issues arising from the use of the Exo-Terra or newly designed ZooMed. That is why I am posing the question. I assume their are plenty of people using the CFL's or they would not still be on the market. EDIT: The reason I am asking is I am trying stream line the...

    CFL Lighting

I have searched here, the web, and other forums. It seems over all, everyone is just not using CFL UV light on their herps for the most part. I have used the Exo-Terra 5.0 CFL bulb on a few of my 12x12x18 Dart Frog set-ups (2 years). It also seems the information on http://www.uvguide.co.uk is...

    Brookesia eggs

I believe she was ready to lay. She spent most of her time digging or rear down to the dirt. Outside of being yellow the eggs look good. I will give them a shot. I did this with pigmy chams in 06 and had one survive. Brookesia are my favorite cham so it is pretty disappointing to loose one. The...

    Brookesia eggs

Ok. I cam home to find my female Brookesia dead. She was very fat, I assumed gravid so I pulled out my scalpel. She had four eggs in her. I am going to go ahead and try and incubate the eggs, just in case. Does any one have a good temp suggestions? I was going to go with 80 F.

    Pic of my New Brookesia

They seem to like Manzanita Branches. Then male tends to use the lower branches during the day, while the female is in the plants or leaf litter. They both sleep in the branches at night. I have been feeding them small crickets and fruit flies. Male Female

Good Day, To introduce myself, I am Jason Juchems. I have been keeping herps since I was 8 years old with my first pet turtle.
