He should have have some branches closer to the top of the cage, so he can comfortably get that high and as close as necessary to the lights. Mine does this too when misted because sometimes they aren't really in the mood for the water, also make sure the water is warm and not too cold for the...
Hi, so this little girl recently came into the care of my girlfriend. The previous owner said she was 5 months old and when I asked about her locale he didn't seem too certain but said she was an amboji which to my knowledge isn't a locale unless it's a kind of cross. I have some pictures of...
If not already you should be misting the cage multiple times a day. Live plants also help with humidity because they transpire and the wet soil gives off humidity as well.

Thanks! Yeah I'm happy and hope he keeps improving. I also just cleaned his enclosure, for the first time since I've owned him which was about a month but judging by how dirty underneath the pots was it's been several since the previous owner cleaned it. I also found about 7 or 8 dubia roaches...
Update on my chameleon's condition! He's doing a lot better now, it turns out he didn't have an eye infection but more of a sinus infection that affected his eyes as well since they're so close to each other, according to my vet. After he reasoned that he gave me some different antibiotic drops...
I realize this thread is old, but I think that may be what's happening with my panther chameleon now. Ive already made threads about it and seen a couple vets, the first had no clue what they were doing and told me he was perfectly healthy but the second one I took him to believed he had an eye...
Side question, I'm currently out of dubias and my hornworms ran out of food and started biting eachother so I threw a few leaves of spinach in there. I haven't fed any of those hornworms to him yet and then I read about how a chameleon eating spinach can cause problems with calcium absorption...
I'm not super knowledgeable on this stuff but he does maybe look a little skinny to me at least, my only real suggestion is to vary his diet. Do you only feed him crickets? You could try dubia roaches, hornworms and silkworms. And check out this how to ask for help thread...
Alright, so I had him seen by Dr. Hayes at the Arapahoe animal hospital and he agreed he had an infection, probably from an injury like scratching his eyes on a branch and that it then got infected. He gave me some drops and showed me how to put them in which I'll do 3 times a day and up his...
I got in touch with Dayna, but she's about an hour away for me aswell (I had previously done that over the weekend to a different vet but I don't have time today) but I'll be taking him to a place here this afternoon. I'll call them and make sure the vet has experience with Chameleons. His...
Hi sorry guys, I now have made like two threads about the same issue and I'm assuming like on most forums that's a bit of a no no(link to that thread: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/help-eyes-rolling-back-in-head-rubbing-eyes-on-branches-mouth-gaping-twice.153479/#post-1307299), but I'm...
Thank you! That would be great to get in touch with her though I do have aother vet appointment tomorrow at a different place, I last went to Fort Collins and now I'm going to a place here in Boulder but I made another thread aswell about this. I took a video of him after misting him when he...
I'm not sure what's going on with my little buddy here but at first I thought it was an eye infection and had made another thread about that, and after taking him to the vet they just took my money and told me he was perfectly healthy and this behavior is due to shedding. But now I was able to...
