    Chameleon bit her tongue!

That makes sense. When her tongue was just hanging there it really freaked me out but it seems okay now.

    Chameleon bit her tongue!

I have good news!! I just feed her and she was able to use her tongue! Granted, it was very slow and careful movements but she was able to use it nonetheless. I wonder why she bit her tongue yesterday? Maybe she thought it was a worm?

    Chameleon bit her tongue!

I haven’t tried to feed her yet. I usually feed her closer to 11 or 12. Never past 1pm though so she can digest the food properly.

I use without d3 at every feeding and reptivite multivitamin with d3 twice a month. I have a linear t5HO 5.0 uvb.

    Chameleon bit her tongue!

I was just trying to move my chameleon at around noon to clean out her cage. As I was lifting her out she shot her tongue out at my forehead, thinking it was food! Something odd happened... as she was retracting her tongue she seemed to have bitten it. I'm not sure how hard or how much damage it...

    Eggs!

Sorry about the last photo... my phone decided to put a black line at the bottom of it. As you can see her joints look discolored to me. The tan bit on her head is some stubborn play sand still left :)

    Eggs!

What about the bruising though? This is her fourth batch since I've had her and she's never bruised her joints before. Is this just from overworking her arms while laying?

    Eggs!

My female veiled just laid her(unfertilized) eggs and there are 31 total! While this is still a large clutch it's very exciting because her clutches used to be around 40-60 eggs! Lowering her basking temp to 80F and feeding her less has really paid off! I do have one question though... I notice...

    Chameleon's overall health...

Are there any recommendations on a bigger cage? I would like to find out which cage would be the best for her.

She has always had those markings also. I don't think that it's a burn.

    Chameleon's overall health...

Thanks for your input. I have been thinking about going 100% live plant which will be challenging since I am not very good at keeping plants alive, but I will definitely add more live plants soon. :)

    Chameleon's overall health...

    · Your Chameleon - My chameleon is a female veiled who is almost 2 years old. I’ve had her in my care for a year and eight months or so. · Handling - I handle my chameleon twice every week, sometimes more… if it’s a sunny day I like to take her outside. · Feeding - I feed her 5-6 large feeders...

    Snails?

So since it's illegal to sell snails... I have to find them outside? Are there any helix aspersa snails in VA?
