The eye in the photo has been like this the majority of the time. When I got home from work yesterday it was open for a while.
Her other eye is fine. Clear, open and looking around.
I can once I get home.
One eye is a little more open now. The other is still closed and has a small white spek on. I couldn't get a good look at it because she kept moving her eyes around. She's still pretty active.
You're right when you say they don't typically know. I worked for Petco when I was 18 and know from experience. I didn't handle the reptiles unless someone wanted to buy one. My knowledge was in dogs, cats and small furry animals. I knew nothing about reptiles at the time.
I will definitely...
Indirect spray.
I'm sure some will spray her directly. But I try to spray her directly as little as possible as I know it can be shocking. However my Jackson I had years ago loved being sprayed all the time. Recognized the bottle and would even drink from it, rather than from his dripper or...
Your Chameleon - Veiled Chameleon, female. Unsure of age. I got her five weeks ago. Maybe 3-4 months old now. Wife picked her up from Petsmart.
Handling - Very little. Two days ago she has started allowing me to just pick her up. She crawl onto my hand and let me inspect her. Able to rub her...
Yeah maybe I was jumping to conclusions... I was stuck in the moment of loss and grief.
I'm still just curious as to what those splotches around his skin was. I don't really want to post pictures of it because I don't think anyone wants to see a deceased chameleon.
So continuing from this thread... https://www.chameleonforums.com/remains-bottom-sleeps-127999/
My girlfriend took Steggy home from the vet because I had to go back to work. On the ride home, he started having these odd greyish black spots around his leg where he received the shot.
About...
Got a vet appointment today and took a extended lunch to get Steggy there and back to work.
Turns out he did damage his two front limbs and possible nerve damage. My cat is definitely in a lot of trouble now because she is the reason why he fell. I swear, we had for almost a whole year and my...
I'm at work right now so I can't get pictures. Posting from my phone.
Until I can get a vet appointment, what tips can I get to help? I mist his cage with warm watereevery hour. My little sister who is staying with us does so while I'm at work.
I tried to get him to eat some mealworms...
I'm trying to get a appointment for him as soon as possible. With work, it's been a pain considering the only vet in the area who works on reptiles opens after I go into work, and closes before I get out.
I believe earlier he may have hurt him front arms (Cat attacked his cage. Cat is in a lot...
So here I am again, the black line (which may have been a burn) across my Jackson's back has disappeared without a trace. Since my last post, all Steggy has done is remain at the bottom of the cage in the coolest area and sleeps all day.
I haven't seen him eat, and the number of crickets in...
I'm not sure if he is eating. If he is not, would that explain his slow response? And then there is his front wrists. He isn't using either of them, meaning he can't climb. the soonest I can get him to a vet is Monday.
As to moving him to a more secluded area... thats going to be impossible...
That particular branch is probably too close to his lamp so I'm going to lower it right now. *stepping away from keyboard RIGHT NOW to fix*
And yes, it is a red one. This is my first pet (ever) and it has been quite a learning experience so far.
Are there any particular heat lamps I should...
So not long after I got my Jackson Chameleon last June, he had a problem with his calcium intake. Lead to a swollen foot and leg.
A few days ago, I noticed that he wasn't using his front right foot while roaming around. This morning, I noticed him sitting on the bead of his cage, and acting...
