That setup looks very nice.
In the past I have liked the 38 gallon rubbermaid/tupperware type setups. You can use a box cutter to cut out the middle and a wood burner or hot glue gun to add some mesh for ventilation. They are also very easy to take out and clean and or replace.
You can either soak it in a water/bleach mix and then resoak it a few times in fresh water. Or soak the stump in water and then bake it at 250-300 degrees for a couple of hours. that way it won't dry out too fast or risk catching on fire. Just make sure you are home and keeping an eye on it.
Bradley,
You should not be keeping them together if they are sexually mature. I would have to imagine that her reluctance is due to stress. Set them up in seperate enclosures and then slowly introduce them. Their colors should let you know the outcome. I wish you all the best.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping to order in bulk and get one size but braid some together for different sizing. The most economical/practical sizes seem to be between 10-14 gauge and either solid or braided (for slightly more). I wasn't sure which would be the most bendable and water...
What gauge and strand wire might you recommend for adult veileds? I was thinking between 10-12 gauge vinyl coated but wasn't sure if stranded or solid was better. This would obviously be used in conjunction with live plants. Thanks in advance.
Put the culture in a closet, no direct light. Temps should be room temperature 70-85 I believe. It has been a while since I had my poison dart frogs but culturing these buggers isn't hard. Its that they can escape easily and friends/family think you have flees running amuck...
How do you think about the Reptarium 100g for a female veileds and the 175g for a male? Are the screen ones that much better for the price? I plan to run a dual 48" repti-sun 5.0 setup across both, as well as heat lights.
Do you use a drip system as well as spraying? Veileds generally don't need as much humidity and in the past I have had the best results with a drip system setup.
It has been several years since I have bred Veileds. However I used to use a vermiculite/sand mixture and a 5 gallon bucket. It may be that the container isn't deep enough for her.
Popular plants that are utilized in a chameleon enclosure include:
Schefflera arboricola
Ficus benjamina
Dracaena fragrans
Ficus elastica
Hibiscus
Pothos

Thanks for the replies. What size fluorescent would you recommend if the cages are 30" wide and 48" tall? Would one bulb be enough or should I get a double fixture? One last question, is it worth getting the full spectrum incandescent bulbs for heat or just a regular spot bulb? Thanks again.
I am need some help and advice on setting up the lighting for my new chams. I have not had any in a few years and want to be sure I am up to date and do them right. I used to get the shop/utility flourescent dual or quad bulb lights. However checking around at the hardware stores they don't...
