    Help/questions with egg laying bin

I have a 16"x11"x11" Rubbermaid-type tub that I filled with moistened play sand (I did a test tunnel to be sure I had the correct dampness). Cami's enclosure is screen 24"x24"x48", so her laying bin takes up a good portion of the bottom of her cage (about 1/3 of the space at the bottom). I had 4...

    Misting systems? Good bad?

I have the AquaZamp Rain Dome. My cham was not a fan of hand sprayed mistings at all, but since getting the AquaZamp, she will make her way to the branch smack dab in the center of the mist/drops when it cycles on. Yesterday I watched her drink for one of the entire 5 minute cycles. She has even...

Some questions! Any input greatly appreciated!

Setting up her laying bin today. We just got everything for it last night. JannB replied to this previous post of mine https://www.chameleonforums.com/photos-our-beautiful-girl-126480/ which includes pictures of Cami, saying she looks like she's ready to lay eggs & gave me very helpful links...

Some questions! Any input greatly appreciated!

Can you tell based on color changes as chams age how old they are? There have been very distinct color pattern changes as my approx 8 mo old female veiled, Cami, has gotten older (I think she may be older, but am uncertain). Do her eating patterns/amounts have anything to do with her age...

    just so im prepared

Yes, take a stool sample, fresh if possible. If not, refrigerate the most recent sample. Cami's visit was a great experience for us. I felt like our vet was very thorough. He wanted to know all the specifics about her enclosure: size, glass/screen, ventilation, branches/vines/plants...

Thank you Jann for the links! Great, detailed information! I will definitely set up a laying bin for her. I thought (probably lack of knowledge) that if she were looking to lay eggs, there would be more "signs" like wandering/pacing the bottom of her enclosure.

We got her 12/14/13 (we were given IMO a large age range 3-6 mos old). On 1/11/14, we took her to a recommended vet (not because anything was wrong) just to have her checked out & make sure we were providing her with the best possible care. The vet estimated her age to be 6 mos at that time...
