I have a panther. His name is Chaos. Was trying to come up with a name while I was waiting for him to arrive and while leaving a Outback Steakhouse a girls travel soccer team arrived aND the name on their jerseys was the Chaos and with all the different colors I thought it a fitting...
Save your $10 and put it towards a jungle dawn led flood. Plants thrive and they really light things up. They are a bit more expensive but will out last a regular bulb by many years and use a lot less electricity .
The jungle dawn is expensive but my plants are thriving and my cham loves to bask under it. I also have a 75 watt basking bulb and a 5uvb florescent. The jungle dawn uses very little electricity and really lights up my 2 x 2 x 4 high enclosure
I buy 500 crickets for $14 @ a place called That Fish / That Pet place in Lancaster PA. I found that if I buy a box of small ones my cham will eat more in a day at the beginning of the batch and fewer as they mature and get bigger but they will last a lot longer and not as much waste by...

Horizontal picture is when I got him last October
Vertical picture is now

I have a RO/DI filter I use for my Discus fish tank.
I have to add electrolytes back into the water for the fish - do I need to do the same for a panther cham?
I have a mist king and they say to use RO water but don't say anything about De ionization
I am setting up a 2' x 2' x 4' enclosure for a Panther Chameleon.
I am using live plants and Looked at a safe plant list and also a unsafe plant list - I could not find Persian Shield (Strobilanthes Dyerianus) on either.
I have several of the plants growing in my yard and was thinking of...
