Adult Male Veiled, Pay shipping and he's yours

I'll upload pictures later this evening. He's a large male veiled chameleon. I inherited him and we will be losing the windowed room he currently lives in. I do not have the heart to relegate him to a windowless basement room. He is approximately 5 years old and is still in good health. He has a...

    Full-time outdoor cage in Maryland

It's that time of year here in Maryland. Night time temps won't be getting below 55 and daytime temps will be nice and hot. Is it possible to keep a veiled outside full-time in this climate? I know plenty of people do it in the southern states and the temps can get in the 50's there.

Face Tumor - Veiled Male PICS

It's been an insanely busy week but I've been monitoring it and it hasn't grown and doesn't seem to be bothering him at all.. I'll take him to the vet Friday.

Glad to hear, I placed my order with Nick the other day. What're you using to gutload the sticks?

    Red runners vs dubia

My wife is finally at peace with my dubia colony.. if I brought red runners into the house it'd be a one way trip to the couch. Only way you should do that is if you have a shed or something you plan to keep them in, or some other way they aren't inside your home. I wouldn't bring red runners...

Orange Head Females vs Dubia Females

The person who sold me Dubia was kind enough to toss a few orange heads in as well. All are adults. How do I tell between the two? Males are easy..females I'm struggling.

    Nobody Wants Veileds?

I doubt they would still be imported. Market seems saturated as-is

    Nobody Wants Veileds?

What's the deal with what seems like zero demand for Veileds? I've seen many adult males go unsold on the classifieds, and babies seem to be going for cheaper and cheaper, to the point that I can't imagine they're even worth breeding any more for most operations. Why use cages on veileds that...

    What plants do you use?

I've used a ficus with limited success, they don't love the heavy misting that my large veiled requires (he drinks like a tank). I currently have a 4' majestic palm tree in the cage with him and he likes that a lot, plus it looks cool. I have his cage next to a window and the plant likes sun, so...

    Wood frame. Good idea?

I used regular stain and poly on pine for one and oak for another to construct my cages. I sanded after each coat of poly and it aired out for weeks before my chameleon went near it. Never had any problems.. I'm not sure what the alternative would be, as if you don't treat the wood it won't last...

Experienced but Struggling to Choose a New Chameleon

I'm interested in getting another chameleon. I've had 4 throughout my life (jacksons and veileds), but currently do not own any. I have a large set up and mister system ready to go. I'd like a large, docile chameleon I can feed a nice varied diet. I'm between Oustalet's, Meller's, Parson's...

    She's Dying

Well, just got home from a weekend trip and stopped by her cage to see her and actually glanced in reflexively before I realized a few seconds later that she wasn't there :( The biggest take away for the rest of the forum should be how important semi-yearly check-ups are. Just because your...
