Man Benton, that's actually a pretty tuff one. I mean all the red instantly make me think Faly but that yellowish body and red in the face make me think twice...he is a beautiful cham for sure and I am LOVING all that red!! I would be inclined to call him a Faly. But if someone corrected me and said Be I wouldn't be shocked. What you trying to do blur the lines :D:D

Most likely faly.

Looks like a nosy faly to me. How old is he? When they are younger they have that light yellow tint inbetween the barring that usually fades to white. He definitely has the red rain and the yellow lips, my guess would be Faly. And if he was a cross, I would say the faly traits are much more dominant.

So your sayin the yellow tint would constitute nosy be cross?

Ya know... i couldnt really tell you unless i seen ALL his siblings as adults

He looks like a WC to me but Benton hasn't said one way or the other. I would say the yellow/color of the body and the red in and around the eyes are the thing that makes me wonder

Check out the Nosy Be on this page...very similar

Ok, are you reading my posts? First of all I don't think he is a cross I think he is WC. In my first post I said I thought he was a Faly. But, he is an interesting cham. I posted a picture of a Faly similar and several pictures of Be's that have the red in the face and yellow with lots of rain in the body.

On top of all that if we are talking about another situation I NEVER said anything about seeing chams as adults. I have already made up my mind about that. And if I am proven wrong I will happily admit it.

Personally i see no nosy be... if anything id say ambanja cross by looking at the rostrum and slender head but thats just my opinion.

Ok, I can tell you its not actually a Faly, although it does show traits of being Faly. He is not mine and is being sold as an Ambanja. I just thought it would be interesting to see what people thought about him as my first impression was that he was a Faly. I think he could be a Faly cross, showing more Faly traits than Ambanja, but whatever he is, he is not pure thats for sure. He is also CB and around 2 years old so his colours are fully developed.

This is interesting. On that same site I posted a link to before there is a photo documentary of the panthers while driving from Ambanja to Nosy Faly. The color variations seem to land right with the guy in this thread. I'd like to take a trip there and check it out for myself. HERE'S THE LINK

This the one on rfuk? I was thinking faly/be cross. I asked about this Cham and they then put a picture up and it's no Ambanja

LOL. I knew something was up, but I see NO ambanja in him. Nosy Be sure, be/Faly sure but ambanja no way. From what I have heard there are almost no ambanjas in Europe. Can you see what I am talking about from the links I posted?

That's right, there arnt many Ambanja in Europe and I'm yet to see a pure Ambanja in the uk, I'm always thought faly/be
