i heard those are a little tough to digest for chameleons. And don't do that, just use bugs.

HAHA!! I would know nothing about bredding anoles as Feeders BUT I do know that Mr Ester my panther absolutly loved his. I have him one ever 2 weeks or so along with bugs and it drastically imporved his color and activeness. He never seemed to have a problem with digesting them either. No bones in the poop.........it was just bigger.
When my new guys get to be about a year old I will try them on anoles as well. I believe it to be a great vitamin source!Years ago when I had my Veild I feed him some Anoles. They were store bought & I quarantined them for 2 weeks before feeding them out. I started out with 4 Anoles & feed out 1 a week. The first 3 were eaten, digested & everything was great, but for some reason when I gave him the 4th he showed indifference & left the Anole alone. So the Anole became a tank mate & lived with my chameleon in seemingly harmony. After some months the Anole started getting really big & I got worried that it was eating the majority of my chameleon's crickets. So I evicted it. And that's my Anole story. I think I'll try feeding one to my Panther when He reaches adulthood.

It isn't necessary to feed some, so why do it ? Here are so many threads about bad pet shops which don't keep reptiles (including chameleons) false and you feed some to your chameleon
And there's another problem beside the ethic one: Those anoles are with guarantee full of parasites, just imagine how bad they are kept till the end in your chameleons mouth. They are sold to importeurs for probably less than 1$ and that's also the way they are treaten. Like animals which are worth anything.
The result are very unhealthy feeders

I can see your side of this story, BUT if you get you cham tested for parasaites routinley, give dewromer rountinley like reccomended your chameleon should be just fine and even become healthier than it was before.
If you think about ANYTHING we feed our Chameleon could be inporperly cared for, that is why we gutload everything before giving it to our chameleon. I would think anyone feeding anoles would be doing the same exact thing. I know that I did. Its easy they eat the same things as our Chams do. I even calcium dusted the crickets.

I would just understand it when sb takes them or geckos as a feeder for specialized snakes, but for chameleons
Blaptica dubia could be also very big feeders or some sorts of the stick insects
@Codi: If you give them too often those medicins you can cause parasite resistances

Yea, I meant like every 6 months or so...I think that is what my vet said....I didnt mean like with the supplement schedule!!
Isnt it kinda crazy how we all have our own ways of doing things!! Humans are so damn stubborn!!!

I have found them on LLLreptile.....that is about it. I bought one from petco, but it was $8! I was like geesh thats an expensive meal for a chameleon!!
And on the veiled comment I think the person was being sarcastic, as in veileds lay a crap load of eggs and anoles dont!

I dont know if its worth while or not...Maybe if you have LOADS of chameleons.... I myself NEVER intend to breed them as feeders. I only had the one adult cham and would buy one every so often when I was buying crickets or other bugs.Ok, I don't know this. Is it worthwile to breed them as feeders
Why would it be more understanding for a bearded dragon??
