would this plant be safe

found this ivy at homedepot,.. its nice.. can i put it in my cage.. its called (MANDEVILLA)....thaks

Wish I had something that could provide you with a definitive answer but unfortunately I do not. I use the Live Plant database here on Chameleon Forums as well as the safe plant list that Florida Chams has but I don't see this one either of those lists.

Still, I'm not sure that means this particular ivy would not be suitable but I'd definitely recommend more research.

I have a mandevilla in my back yard and my chameleon has climbed on it before. The thing you have to worry about is if they EAT it. But then again, it says the sap is dangerous too. Are you housing a panther? i have read more stories about Veild Chameleons eating plants versus the panthers, but I would not want to take a chance. I have not seen this plant listed on any of the breeder websites as safe.
