That looks pretty sweet! Is that a tub basin? Will the cage sit partially inside or at the top of the basin?

Thanks!
Yes it is a utility sink I got from lowes. 25x24, a the cage will fit right on the lip. I am going to frame the sides and sit the plant inside the tub so I will cut the PVC bottom of the cage out to fit the plant pot.

Thank you! It is a work in progress. I just hung the door and will finish the rest tomorrow maybe. i think i am going to put it on casters as well.

He actually has a month or two before he will even be ready to move into it, but I wanted to go ahead and get it done so I have time to save for the lights and mister.

Looking good i have been looking around for something to build a stand out of. That looks good i cant wait for the finished product

great job w/ the diy stand cammie. waldo is very lucky to have a great cham mommy like you. :)

Got a little more done on the stand today. Tonight I ended up putting a thick coat of Spar varnish just to coat it and also darken the wood up a tad. I actually really like the light color of the blonde wood but it needed protection :D

I am still going to trim out the door but that may come later. I am missing one piece....LOL

So for now it is done and I will bring it inside tomorrow or this weekend. The cage fit perfect without any room to spare.....good thing I measured twice and cut once....haha

Woops, sorry my attachment is not working right, be right back :)

My photobucket was acting up last night and was not able to get the pics up. But here is the end result. Going to add some trim to the door but that is about it. I left the wood bare as I really liked the blonde wood and put a couple of coats of spar varnish on there. It is water resistant so hoping it will seal it well

I will get a full shot tomorrow after the varnish has completely dried and I out the handle on the door

Very cool.... im planing on my new cage for Elwood.... When i went to my girlfriends house i found a broken coffee table, missing the glass on top. It's solid oak... so i thought, this would be perfect to put two cages, side by side on and a couple buckets underneath..:D The ideas of a cham owner never stops!!

Thanks all! It will get more pics up once I move it indoors. Wondering though at what age or soze i should move him in to the larger enclosure. he is anout 3.5 months old now. i dont want to overwhelm him simce i have only had him a few weeks. i habe seevtal things i am ordering for the cage so it will be a few weeks anyway before i even think anou It. but i do think i will decorat eit nicely so he can look at it across the room and maybe tha will build him up :).
I love DIY projects like that coffee table you mentioned southcali. Soumds like that would look good.
I have several dragon enclosures that I converted from coffe tables and wardrobes.

Now that is a great piece of work, your very talented and your boy will love that...wouldn't mind having that for my boy.

Wow, this is going to be an amazing home for your chameleon! Great start and I can't wait to see the finished product.

One of my favorite things about chameleon keeping is how it gives you an opportunity to be a creative artist and a smart engineer all at the same time!

Thanks all, I am getting there.
I cut the PVC to fit the pot and put a support in the tub basin to hold the pot. I am going to drill a few more very small holes in the bottom for extra drainage.

I repotted the ficus so it would have room to grow but did not realize how small it would look in the enclosure . I am going to hang a pothos from the top and maybe put in one more taller plant in the back, then pimp it out with some vines etc....
I am also going to put a deflector on the vent in the ceiling to push the air away from his cage.
Get my lights this week hopefully then I am going to rig up a misting system. Right now he is in the same room but on the opposite side

Here are the pics of where I am now
