Just wanted to share that ive used reptisun 5.0 since I bought my first panther cham (Diego Suarez) from Reptile depot many years ago.
I switched over to a powersun in april and have gotten amazing results. My ambanja is 2 years now and although the 5.0 is a good light, I have had no picky eating or changes in behavior with this light.
As for some people saying the bulb puts out dangerous amounts of uv and heat while just repeating what they hear from others, that is untrue. If you don't know what you are doing your gonna have problems
If you position a 100w bulb to warm your basking area appropriately you will not have any problems. If your basking temp is correct and your lamp is right on top of your screen then go higher wattage and leave at least 5 inches from the top to avoid heat and uv burns from skin being so close to light if they decide to crawl under.
Also for some people saying that the lamp has to be 12- whatever" people are saying they are hearing, This is per zoomed instructions "All animals should be able to get at least a minimum of 12" away from the lamp and have a cooler area away from the lamp minimum 24". Not, lamp should be 12" minimum over screen.
So you do not have to hang this lamp 12" over your screen if 7" over screen works for your temps.
I currentley have a 100w 11" from the basking perch and my ambanja loves it. Ive just switched to this lamp in my 6mos nosy cage. Just wanted to share because ive been reading some crazy stuff from others that have never even used this lamp. Also not saying reptisun 5.0 is not as good just sharing my exp.
