Zoo Med Hygrotherm

Habba Mist does not do what it says it does. I would be a little cautious of it. I would spend the extra $$ and buy a good hydroponic one. More reliable. Especially if the Chames could be at risk.

Howdy.

I think Ryan meant to say was that the "Habba Mist does not do what it says it does..

As far as the "Zoo Med Hygrotherm" goes, it's functions are more useful when the heat source is not a lamp but rather a ceramic heater or an under-tank-heater. It regulates temperature by turning the heat source on/off. Regulating humidity the same way would not be too effective for chameleons either :(.

OMG, I sure meant Habba Mist not Herp Mist. I have a Herp Mist and love it. I am going to edit that one. Thanks Dave

I dont really like the combo ones. The first place I would put a thermometer is up by the basking light.. but air around there would naturally be dryer anyways cuz of the heat. I like to do 1 thermometer basking, 1 thermometer cooler side, and hygrometer usually sits in the middle / cooler side.

fool- because its a loud system and its not really mist.. Also water leaks.. I wanted to buy that system myself because it was a reasonable price but I order the mistking instead. I did a search on the forum and got a lot of bad reviews..

Thanks I messed around with it: It only makes noise when running which is like 15-60 seconds which is good and the box said it might lure the chame to the water after he gets used to the noise. Also the leaking is easy to fix.
It has different settings for misting: stream to mist. i think the mist works well enough for the cham. It's not ultra-fine though.

OMG, I have a Habba Mist that i am willing to be part with a cup of silkworm!
I bought it when i was gullible..
Now I have herpmist (Looove it) and I spit at the name of Habba Mist every morning.
