Zoo Med bulbs

Hello all- I'm a new member and this is my first post. I have a 5 1/2 month old male Ambilobe x Nosy be currently being kept in the Screamelons "Ultimate Set-up kit" and so far everything is going pretty well. He seems healthy and happy, although i think I'll have to upgrade his cage sooner than i thought (he is growing fast!) One issue I've had is that in the 2 months since becoming a chameleon owner I'm already on my third Zoo Med 60w daylight blue bulb. I don't have a problem spending the 7 or 8 bucks occasionally, but once a month seems a bit much. Has anyone else encountered similar problems with this product?

Just use a normal incandescent house bulb. They work just as well and are way way cheaper. Actually they're recomended over most lizard bulbs.
