Yet more eggs & live babies!

Benny I expect you of all people to spank me for this. Well JoJackson hasn't chimed in yet.

Why on Earth????

Very cool species! I wonder if the young are capable of their famous defence mechanism? Mind, not too blood in a tiny lizard so Id try not to provoke it!
I hope you'll do the best you can with them before releasing in spring?

Whats the idea with the folic/citric acid? Dont you mean 'Formic' acid ?
This was used on feeders in trials with Molochs here in Oz, with very limited success.
UV cant hurt them and is probly a good idea given their sun loving nature.

The two species do have some similarities.

Good luck, Cute Babies! :)

So you were correct, she was full of babies!:D

Cute little buggers Laurie, but I am going to have to go against the grain and say..." I don't want one"... If I get anything else I am going to be thrown out!:(

I used to catch these as well. I raised one for about a year then let him go. Very cool babies, I didn't know they were live bearing. There used to be a lot of horny toads in texas, however, feral cats / fire ants (both are invasive species :( ) have really hurt their populations.

This brings up a good trivia question. How many ovoviviparous species of reptiles are there that are native to the U.S.? Don't answer in this thread, I don't want to hijack it. I will start a new one called Trivia Question of the day...
